ASCENDANCY "EFFORTLESS" 4 SHOE CLUTCH SYSTEM
The Ascendancy "Effortless" 4 Shoe Clutch System is an extremely long lasting, very tunable clutch system for 1/8 off-road racing.
Like all 4 shoe clutch systems, the Ascendancy system is very easy on clutch bearings
due to the diagonally opposed operation of the shoes. Even if you are running different rate springs, as long as the springs opposite each other are the same rate then the clutch will always have two shoes engaging on either side of the clutch bell simultaneously, thus holding the clutch bell centred and taking strain off the bearings - unlike the standard 3 shoe system where different rate springs will see the bell tilt to one side as the weakest single spring or springs take up first.
The materials used in the shoes and Ascendancy vented bells work together to give
amazing clutch shoe life. We strongly recommend the use of an Ascendancy vented
clutch bell for maximum performance and shoe longevity.
You will be amazed at just how little the shoes wear on these units, compared to a standard 3 shoe clutch.
The Ascendancy "Effortless" 4 shoe clutch system is one of the smoothest and most
highly effecient clutch systems on the market today. It is easily tuned from a soft early clutch to a late hard hitting clutch using a combination of the shoes and springs available.
